School of Health Sciences

The School of Health Sciences, established in February 2021, has quickly become the premier healthcare training center in Kericho County and beyond. Originally housed under the School of Science and Technology, we have since grown into an independent and dynamic school dedicated to excellence in healthcare education.

Our journey began with the admission of our first cohort of students in the Diploma in Clinical Medicine program in 2011. Since then, we have expanded our offerings to include a wide range of accredited programs, which are organized into three specialized departments:

  1. • Department of Clinical Medicine and Optometry
  2. • Department of Public Health
  3. • Department of Nursing and Nutritional Sciences

Our current programs include:

  1. • B.Sc. Nursing (Pre-service)
  2. • B.Sc. Nursing (Upgrading)
  3. • B.Sc. Public Health
  4. • B.Sc. Clinical Medicine (Pre-service )
  5. • B.Sc. Clinical Medicine ( Upgrading)
  6. • Diploma in Clinical Medicine and Surgery

In addition to these, we are excited to announce that three new programs—Master’s in Global Public Health, B.Sc. in Nutrition and Dietetics and B.Sc. in Medical Laboratory Sciences—are ready for rollout in the near future. These additions will further enhance our capacity to produce skilled professionals who are well-prepared to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare sector.

Over the years, the School of Health Sciences has continued to graduate numerous professionals who are making significant contributions both within Kenya and internationally.

Located at Kapkatet Campus along the Kericho-Kisii highway, our school provides a conducive environment for learning and professional growth. We invite you to explore our programs and join us in advancing the future of healthcare.
